1. When is the County compost site open?

April 1st through November 30th, weather permitting. Fees may apply. Call the County at 763-324-3400 for additional details.

2. Is there a landfill for garbage?

3. Where can I recycle appliances?

The Coon Rapids Recycling Center, located at 1831 111th Avenue NW, accepts appliances every day during open hours. Fees apply. Check the recycling page for more information.

4. What else can I recycle?

The Recycling Center accepts newspapers, glass and plastic bottles, metal cans, scrap metal, waste oil and filters, car batteries, corrugated cardboard, plastic bags, fluorescent lights, packing Styrofoam pieces (no peanuts), plastics #1, 2, 4, 5 and 6, pop and beer cases, and telephone books.

Hours are Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
