Community Oriented Policing Officers (COPPS)

The Coon Rapids Police Department, Investigative Division, is home to the Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving officers, also known as COPPS. These officers help solve problems that fall outside the areas of patrol and investigations. Sometimes the issues are time intensive and can't be completed in a single patrol shift, or the issues may need additional resources not available on evenings, nights and weekends.

COPPS officers spend time making connections in the community, and have a wide range of duties ranging from assisting with single family rental property to Night to Unite coordination.
